Finally, The Story Can Be Told

If there was one person in sports that I wish would write a book, it wouldn't be Tom Brady, or Brett Favre, or Kobe Bryant, or Gilbert Arenas, or Barry Bonds ... It has to be Carlos Zambrano.

Yep. The Big Z.

I just have to know how he keeps himself under such great emotional control. How he doesn't believe in giving thanks to God for every little achievement. How he avoids spending time on the Internet because he might injure himself. And so much more.

Zambrano will sign on Wednesday at Libreria Giron, 1443 W. 18th Street, at 5:30 p.m. CT in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood, and on Oct. 23 at Costco, 2746 N. Clybourn Ave., at 6 p.m. CT, for Costco members only.

The English version of the book is titled "The Big Z: The Carlos Zambrano Story," and the Spanish version is, "Como Llego a Ser Grande ... Carlos Zambrano." The book details Zambrano's life, from playing baseball in the streets in Venezuela to signing a $91.5 million contract with the Cubs this season.

On Wednesday, there will be live music, food and entertainment as part of an unofficial "Carlos Zambrano Day in Pilsen."
Damn, too bad I am boycotting Costco or I'd totally be there, baby.
