Man, What A Gyp!

Just when I thought I was finally going to be able to buy my own country, eBay goes and pulls Belgium off the market.

Hidden among the porcelain fox hounds and Burberry tablecloths on sale at eBay.be this week was an unusual item: "For Sale: Belgium, a Kingdom in three parts ... free premium: the king and his court (costs not included)."

I figured that with the current state of the dollar and the Euro I could get that bad boy for maybe fifty bucks tops. Heck, the ad even stated free delivery, and mentioned that the country was coming secondhand and that potential buyers would have to take on over $300 billion (euro220 billion) in national debt, all which I figured would scare away buyers.

eBay decided to pull the add Tuesday after receiving a bid of euro10 million ($14 million).

And I was planning on letting the public decide what to do with it once I bought it too!
