I Think This Is The Very Definition Of Ironic
The University of Colorado has decided to stop the selling of beer at all their home basketball games. I assume it's being done to help ensure the safety of the attendees and to limit the amount of misbehavior during the games. I have one little problem with this concept though. The building in which the games are held is called the "Coors Events Center."
Beer sales to the general public will no longer be offered at Coors Events Center for University of Colorado basketball games. So it's ok to take the beer people money to name the arena, but no one there can actually have the product that the arena is named after. Interesting.
"It's certainly becoming the norm across the country," athletic director Mike Bohn said Monday.
Beer will still be available for private groups.Of course it will.
