Be Right Back ... Signing Up For A Naked Yoga Class

Apparently there is a new fad going on in worlds that I do not inhabit. Something called Naked Yoga is becoming a cult craze.

Benefits of Naked Yoga:

The initial feeling attached to this concept of shedding your clothes and being naked might be very unappealing and also offensive.

It is if I am doing it.

But when practiced, this opens up new liberating horizons for you. It teaches you that there is nothing uncomfortable about your naked body. In other words, it liberates you by making you feel ���at home with your body���.

I am almost always 'at home' with my body (and a good magazine).

Naked yoga may prove a hard task to grasp in the initial days. This is because nudity can be very distracting and may be a challenge to your concentration.

Only if Jessica Alba is doing it with me.

But, with regular practice and with the help of your Yoga instructor, you can win over these distractions.

Instructor? If she's female I am signing up today.

Not everyone thinks it's so great though.

Recently, a yoga "scholar" has written a book saying in his opinion yoga is more "stylish than spiritual."

Blasphemy!

He says: "Decrying the fashion parade and sexy outfits in yoga classes, he laments how "modesty, once a highly valued yogic virtue, is considered old-fashioned." He is especially appalled at the concept of nude yoga classes. And he says ancient tantric yoga, which often deals with sexual energy, has been abused by exploitative teachers. It's a criticism he shares with Buddhism's Dalai Lama."

Exploitative teachers? Now I am definitely signing up.
