A Web Site We Kind Of Like: HitBarry.com

There is a Web site out there that is trying to raise money by urging Major League pitchers to hit Barry Bonds. Yeah, that's right. It's appropriately named HitBarry.com. Normally I am not one to condone random acts of violence against complete douchebags ... oh yeah, actually I am, so this is a good thing.

Here's the scoop:

Our mission is to "Celebrate Pitchers that do the right thing". Through our extensive research (on about.com), it costs $3,840 to send someone through rehab. Our goal is to raise AT LEAST that much by the next time Barry gets hit by a pitch this year. When he does, we will donate ALL of the donation money collected (minus paypal's rake...those bastards) to a charitable cause within the city of the team that hits him. So if Barry is playing against LA and he is hit by a pitch, we will donate money collected to a charity in the Los Angeles area...in the name of the pitcher who hit him. Hopefully by doing this, we can help some kids that are on steroids now and give them a helathy [sic] future. If at the end of the year, Barry is not hit at all, ALL money that is collected will go to single charitable foundation from "Baseball fans all over the country". We were going to offer it to the Balco prosecution fund, but does it really make sense to give the money to Uncle Sam?

They're not having much luck reaching their odd goal of $3,840 yet, but the concept is solid. Won't you ... help raise money ... for charity ... today?
