L Millz Learned Nothing From Carmelo Anthony's Experience

Mets outfielder Lastings Milledge is on the DL. Not really news, right? Well, he has somehow still found his way into the papers despite not playing. And not for a good reason either.

From the Post:

The song, "Bend Ya Knees" by Manny D featuring L Millz, has lyrics ripe with vulgarity, demeaning references to women, explicit sexual content and multiple uses of the n-word.

The Mets statement said, "We disapprove of the content, language and message of this recording, which does not represent the views of the New York Mets." GM Omar Minaya later added that he was "looking into it."

On the Web site, there is a description of Manny D, and Milledge's name is mentioned as "an old friend from junior high school." It says Milledge is the co-founder of Soulja-Boi Records and the manager of Manny D. There are also photos of Milledge, who is on the disabled list with a sprained ligament in his right foot.
The site also states that Manny D has goals of forming his own foundation for kids that aren't fortunate enough to have a role model in their and that his greatest goal is to create positive music.

Uh, you're off to a REALLLLY bad start on that goal, there D.

Wanna hear Lastings L Millz bustin' a rhyme? Here you go: the fourth song down. I thought it was the fourth song down (according to Parlayer), but I don't see it now. It's worth visiting the site anyway, just to see Manny D's gold teeth.

And I wonder how long this page will stay up on MLB's official Mets site now that all this bad publicity is out:
