That Didn't Work Out Quite How We'd Hoped

Yesterday we told everyone about the online petition some San Diego Chargers fans were using to try to to ensure that their franchise LaDainian Tomlinson wouldn't appear on the cover of Madden '08 and therefore have his career ended in its prime.

Today we are glad to report that it appears as though Vince Young is going to be on the cover. Wait a minute ... What!? Crap! In case you haven't figured it out, we're Titans fans.

Young to grace cover of Madden '08 (City Paper)

A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed Young���s gracing the cover of the game to The City Paper. Efforts to reach EA Sports were unsuccessful on Monday.

An official announcement is expected on Tuesday and Young will appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" as part of the kickoff promotion for the newest version the popular NFL video game that is endorsed by NFL Hall of Fame coach and analyst John Madden.

First Eddie George has his career ruined, now Vince?! Say it isn't so! And just when the team was showing signs of life. Does anyone know any voodoo I can practice between now and the start of the NFL season?
