John Daly Maxfli Ad: Too Realistic For CBS?

Apparently this ad was not approved by the fine folks at CBS. John Daly appearing to promote over imbibing was the central problem they had. My question is, how is this ad all that different from one of their reality shows?

The Golf Channel had no problem with the ad though. The are realistic enough to know that golf and beer go hand-in-hand like PB & J.
