It'll Only Cost Them $24,075,000 To Have A Full House

We knew the Devil Rays were having trouble drawing fans, but we never thought they would resort to actually buying them.

Ebay Charity Auction Won by MLB Executive (Armchair GM)
Tampa Bay Devil Rays President Matthew Silverman was the winning bidder in Manny Stiles' charity eBay auction and will receive the 50 articles posted about his favorite team (surprise! The Devil Rays!) on ArmchairGM.com as well as a soon-to-be-created team focused blog hosted by pseudo-celebrity blogger and resident Armchair yapster Manny Stiles.

The winning bid of $535.00 as well as an additional pledge of $1000.00 is being donated by Mr Silverman to The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation to aid in research and care of pediatric AIDS patients.
If Silverman throws in an extra grand for everyone's favorite charity, we're looking at $69,075,000 to fill the place. Add that to their current payroll and they are still about $100 million below what the Yankees pay their entire roster. Go Devil Rays!!
