And It's About Damn Time

Lost in all the excitement over who would be the first to finish the Daytona 500 while not on fire, and whether the East could actually miss 100 shots in a single game, was this announcement.

Cheerleading Industry To Get Hall of Fame (The Professional Cheerleader Blog)

Proformance Sports Marketing and Entertainmjent unveils plan to honor the Legacy Of America's Cheerleaders.

We're pretty sure this group will not be inducted. Yikes.
“The rich legacy of Cheerleading has been over 100 years in the making,” said Najja Conway, PSME director of business development. “Cheerleaders throughout our history will get their official Hall of Fame to honor the great men and women who dragged their fans kicking and screaming on to a victory.” The CHOF will be a tribute to the victorious American spirit whose legacy will include many presidents, senators, movie stars, famous industrialists, and otherwise super achievers whose bold spirit made America the great place it is today not only for the cheerleaders but for Americans. It will also include those considered milestone achievers, multi-skilled athletes, and trend setters within the industry. The consortium, to be made up of a cross-section of industry experts, will induct the inaugural class of Hall of Famers.
Let's break that down, shall we?

First, I'd lose that acronym. "The CHOF" is not exactly a sexy-sounding term for a Cheerleader Hall of Fame. How about the "Best of our Best Hall of Fame?"
"...presidents, senators, movie stars, famous industrialists, and otherwise super achievers..."
What the hell are they talking about? Presidents? of what?
It will also include those considered milestone achievers, multi-skilled athletes, and trend setters within the industry.
Milestones? Like if someone does 100 shoulder/boob shakes in a single game, they get in? And I'd love to see a list of the trends that cheerleaders started within their industry. Like who was the first to break the saline implants versus silicon barrier.

Alright, I'm bored with this already. Can you tell there's like no sports happening these days?
